DR. TIM LAUTZENHEISER
Band Leadership Training
Tim is a well-known name in the music education world as a teacher, clinician, author, composer, conductor, consultant, and, above all, a trusted friend to anyone interested in working with young people in developing a desire for excellence. His career involves ten years of successful college band directing at Northern Michigan University, the University of Missouri, and New Mexico State University. During this time Tim developed highly acclaimed groups in all areas of the instrumental and vocal field.
Following three years in the music industry, he created Attitude Concepts, Inc., an organization designed to manage the many requests for workshops, seminars, and convention speaking engagements focusing on the area of positive attitude and effective leadership training. He presently holds the Earl Dunn Distinguished Lecturer position at Ball State University. Tim also is the Executive Director of Education for Conn-Selmer, Inc.
His books, produced by G.I.A. Publications, The Art of Successful Teaching, The Joy of Inspired Teaching, Music Advocacy and Student Leadership, and Everyday Wisdom for Inspired Teaching are bestsellers in the educational world. He is also co-author of Hal Leonard's popular band method, Essential Elements.

GEORGE N. PARKS
Drum Major Academy and Band Leadership Training
George is the nation's foremost authority on the art of drum majoring, bringing over 35 years of teaching and performing experience to the Drum Major Academy, instructing over 3000 drum major and band leadership students each year.
George is the Professor of Music at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and has been the director of the Minuteman Marching Band for over 30 years. He has been recipient of the University's Distinguished Teacher Award and the Chancellor's Medal for Distinguished Service. He has been named an Honorary Alumnus of the University of Massachusetts, and was inducted into the Massachusetts Instrumental Conductors Association Hall of Fame.
George has been featured in various instructional videos teaching drum majoring, leadership skills, and mace techniques, and has authored The Dynamic Drum Major, a text on the art of drum majoring. He was drum major of the West Chester University Golden Rams Marching Band, an eight-time recipient of the DCA World Championship Drum Major Award as drum major of the Reading Buccaneers Senior Drum and Bugle Corps, and has been inducted into the Drum Corps Associates Hall of Fame.

JAY BOCOOK
Student Marching Band and Director & Staff Sessions
Jay is the Director of Athletic Bands at Furman University, and is recognized internationally as a composer, arranger, conductor and educator. His work has been heard during the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, and the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. In the summer of 2003, his music transcriptions of noted film composer John Williams were premiered by the U.S. Marine Band in a concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and conducted by the Williams himself. Jay was a contributing arranger to a new musical CyberJam that opened in London to rave reviews in the fall of 2003 at the Queens Theatre.
Jay has served as Assistant Conductor of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, and remains a principal composer and arranger for the Hal Leonard Corporation. He is the music arranger for the eight-time World Champion Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps.

THOM HANNUM
Marching Percussion and Director & Staff Sessions
Thom has long been regarded as one of the nation's foremost percussion arrangers, instructors, and clinicians having presented numerous seminars and workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia. He is best known for his work with the DCI World Champion Cadets of Bergen County and Star of Indiana. Thom is a member of the design team for the Tony Award Winning show Blast! In the summer of 2001, he was selected for induction into the DCI Hall of Fame and in 2008 he was inducted into the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame.
Thom is the Associate Director of the Minuteman Marching Band and the Director of the Marimba Ensemble program at the University of Massachusetts. He is a product consultant and clinician for the Avedis Zildjian Cymbal Company, Evans Drum Heads, the Pearl Corporation, and Vic Firth Sticks & Mallets where he has developed several Signature Series drumsticks and keyboard mallets. Thom is an active member of the Percussive Arts Society where he serves on the Marching Percussion Committee.
Thom Hannum is the founder and director of his Mobile Percussion Seminar which offers clinic and workshop programs for high schools and colleges of all ability levels.

DR. WILL RAPP
Student Percussion and Director & Staff Sessions
Will's record as a published author includes over 400 publications to his credit through Charter Publications, Jenson Publications, Educational Programs Publications, Meriditth Music Publications, and the Hal Leonard Publishing Corporation. Additionally, his articles and reviews have appeared in some of the leading music journals.
Will studied timpani and orchestral repertoire with Fred D. hinger, legendary timpanist for the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. He also performed as Principal Timpanist of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra for 15 years. He currently serves as conductor of the Reading Pops Orchestra, and Chair of the Music Department at Kutztown University. He is in demand as a guest conductor of honor bands and orchestras. Will was selected as a recipient of the Kutztown University Faculty Research Award in recognition of his leadership in the field of percussion teaching, publications, and continued activity in the field.

Todd Marcocci is the President of Under the Sun Productions Inc., a production company serving the special events, marching band, and color guard industries. Over the years, Todd has served as producer, designer, choreographer, coordinator, and director for a seemingly endless number of events and groups, including: Daytona 500 Pre-Race Show; In Philadelphia - World Series Celebration Parade; 6 ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade, and July 4th Parade; In Washington D.C. - National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, National Memorial Day Parade, and National Independence Day Parade; Chicago Festival of Lights; the parade scene in the film, Lord of War, starring Nicholas Cage; Halftime shows for the Champs Sports Bowl, Tangerine Bowl, and Citrus Bowl; NBA All-Star Team-up Friday, and a commercial for the Snapple Corporation directed by Spike Lee.
Todd's marching band and color guard talents have also been on display around the world in over 630 choreographed performances, including: the Field of View Color Guard; Bluecoats, Crossmen, Troopers, and Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps; and several marching bands including Kutztown University and West Chester University.

MICHAEL CESARIO
Director & Staff Sessions
Michael Cesario is widely recognized as a leader in design for performing and pageantry arts. His credits include Broadway, Las Vegas, and Television, including his popular role as color commentator for the DCI World Championship Finals television broadcast. He has worked with and designed for a countless number of high schools, universities, and drum and bugle corps, including The Cadets, Cavaliers, Blue Devils, Phantom Regiment, Carolina Crown, Boston Crusaders, Blue Knights, Arizona State University, Colorado State University, Oregon State University, Rutgers Univerisity, Texas A&M Unviersity, University of Central Florida, and University of Miami, to name just a few.
Michael was honored as Professor Emeritus by New York's Purchase College, where he was the Director of Design/Technology and Graduate Studies for Theatre and Film. He is published in several texts, and has taught seminars at Dartmouth College, NY School of Visual Arts/MFA, and the Juliard School. He is also in demand as an adjudicator of high school bands. Michael is a member of the DCI Hall of Fame.

Randy Glimore is the President/Owner of

DR. CHRIS HANNING
Pit Percussion
Chris Hanning is the Director of Percussion Studies and Chair of the Applied Music Department at West Chester University. He is the principal percussionist/timpanist with the Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra, timpanist with the Bach Festival Orchestra of Bethlehem, and percussionist for Philadelphia's premiere contemporary music ensemble, Relâche. He also performs with the Panyard Steel Orchestra, the West Chester Jazz Orchestra, and the Peter Paulsen Quartet.
Chris has performed on numerous recordings for NFL Films, including two Emmy Award Winning projects. Recent recordings include sound tracks for History Channel movies,
My Father's Gun and
Blood From a Stone, and various selections for the closing ceremony of the 2006 Super Bowl. Other recordings include a CD with legendary saxophonist David Leibman and the Manhattan Saxophone Quartet, and a CD by the M.P.H. Trio.

DR. FRANK KUMOR
Student Percussion
Frank Kumor is the Assistant Director of Percussion Studies at Kutztown University. As a soloist, he has performed at the Patagonia International Percussion Festival in Argentina, the Polish International Percussion Festival, and has served as Artist-In-Residence at Universities in Uruguay, Brazil, Kenya, and Spain. Nationally he has presented workshops at music educator association meetings in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Texas, and at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention.
Frank's marching percussion activities include teaching and arranging for award winning high school and university percussion sections in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Ohio. His marching percussion compositions are published in the annual
Yamaha Sounds of Summer instructional handbook.
Dr. Kumor is a artist/clinician for Paiste Cymbals, Yamaha Percussion,

WAYNE MARKWORTH
Director & Staff Sessions
Wayne was the Director of Bands at Centerville High School in Ohio for 35 years. During that tenure he built a total band program encompassing three concert bands, three jazz ensembles, two winter guards, two winter percussion ensembles and the marching band known nationally as "The Centerville Jazz Band".
He has taken his years of experience and knowledge and created

DREW SHANEFIELD
Director & Staff Sessions
Drew is an instrumental music teacher for the School District of Haverford Township in Pennsylvania, a faculty member in the Department of Music and Dance at Swarthmore College, and the brass arranger for the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps.
Drew previously served as Program Coordinator for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, brass caption head and programming consultant for the Cavaliers, and as a brass caption head and/or arranger for the Cadets, Carolina Crown and Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps.
He is a composer and arranger for ensembles across the United States, Europe and Japan, and a frequent presenter of sessions at annual conferences across the country. Commission projects include compositions for the University of Houston, Eastern Kentucky University, Swarthmore College Jazz Ensemble, the Vivace Brass Band of Tokyo, Japan as well as numerous public school commissions.
Drew is a performing artist/clinician for Yamaha band instruments and is also an adjudicator/clinician for Bands of America/Music for All.

JAMEY THOMPSON
Director & Staff Sessions
Jamey Thompson has been involved in the activity as a performer, designer or adjudicator for over twenty-five years. He currently is visual designer for competitive high school marching bands and winter drum lines throughout the country. In the past decade he has designed for several drum and bugle corps, including: Phantom Regiment, Madison Scouts, Glassmen, and the Empire Statesmen. Jamey is a member of the Midwest Judges Guild, judging marching bands and winter guards throughout the country.

ANDREW YOZVIAK
Student Marching Band
Andrew Yozviak is a member of the Applied Music Department at West Chester University where his primary responsibilities include conducting the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Chamber Winds, directing the Golden Rams Marching Band, and teaching conducting classes. Andrew has also served as Visiting Director of Bands at Susquehanna University .
As a composer, he has accepted commissions to compose and arrange music in a variety of genres. Andrew's work as an arranger has yielded more than 150 shows for some 40 high schools, eight universities, and five drum and bugle corps. His original compositions for marching band,
